Measure Area - Perimeter curve

Hi,

Coming from Solidworks to CREO I am hoping the following is possible, I cannot seem to find in the measure tool a means to measure perimter area. Screen shot example of what I'm trying to calculate:

It is not possible to select area on perimteter, is this possible in CREO?

In some cases, you can measure the area within a closed curve in sketch mode as shown here. Use the measure tool inside the sketch.

If you need to so this external to the sketch, then as @MartinHanak has suggested you can create a planar surface using the fill function (inside your curve) and measure the area of the fill surface.

Hi,

I think you cannot measure an area of empty space. If it is planar curve then you have to create Fill surface and measure its area.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the reply, I was hopeful this could be done via the measurement tool. Good to know I could use the Fill option.

Thanks, although it would be nice to have this in the model enviroment, it's not a problem to access via the sketch:
