Measuring distance for handicapped user

We are using Creo Parametric 2.0 and have got a handicapped user, that can use only one hand.

How can he measure e.g. a distance between two surfaces?

He can't press the [Ctrl] button and click on the 2nd surface simultaneously.

The short-term solution a user on CAD.de found (http://ww3.cad.de/foren/ubb/Forum581/HTML/001682.shtml) is to use the On-Screen Keyboard of Windows:

  1. Open the On-Screen Keyboard.
  2. Start the measurement.
  3. Select the 1st reference.
  4. Click on the [Ctrl] key of the On-Screen Keyboard (it stays in a "hold-down" status).
  5. Select the 2nd reference.

You can find mouse with many buttons (I use "Logitech Performance MX") and choose one of buttons as [Ctrl].

Programmable mouse would be a possibility, ok.

Unfortunately at the moment we don't have one available.

Any other ideas?

Are there any out-of-the-box solutions in Creo Parametric that could help us?
