Could anybody confirm for me if there is any appreciable difference
between a file exported as a step surface and the same file exported as
a step solid out of Mechanical Desktop? I understand the surface model
may need some time spent fixing it up in Pro/ENGINEER to get it into a
solid.
We have a supplier who believes that if he sends us step solid files he
will give us enough information to be able to manufacture his product
ourselves. We have no interest in this. It would simply help us work
with his models more efficiently.
While I am on the topic, does anybody use a fail safe method of
transferring models from Mechanical Desktop to Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire
2.0?
