Hi,
I've created a sheetmetal-part and added a planar and flat part.
Then I mirrored the flat part on the middle plane. The result is, that the other side doesn't look mirrored.
.prt-file is attatched
I haven't used sheetmetal very often. So maybe I am missing something ?
Thanks,
Maik
Did you modify the flat after making the mirror? Mirrors in sheetmetal don't update when you make changes to the flat properties. You would need to recreate the mirror or modify the flat in the mirror.
Hi, Thanks for your reply. No, I didn't modify the flat after the mirror.
You can try it yourself. Delete the mirror and mirror the flat part again.
Then it looks as shown in my picture.
And when I click on edit definition for the mirror then there is a box checked that says something like "associative copy". When I change the sketch the mirrored part updates.
But its still not mirrored correctly .
Thanks
Can't open part. I am using 4.0. You must have something newer or a student version. I tried with a simple flat and it worked OK for me until I modified it. May try a sketched wall on Monday.
Hello,
be aware - you have to choose each flat part each and separately to mirror it.
So, if you have done your part in several steps (often it´s not possible in a different way) you have to mirror each of those steps to have the same on the mirrored reference.
See attached, the side which is further away I made in two steps. first the solo flat part and afterwards the flat tab. after that I mirrored both steps on the length plane.
remark - It´s not possible to open your file - I have Creo 6.
thanks for your replies.
I created the part using only one planar and one flat.
In the flat I used those options:
The files are created with creo 7.0.0
Thanks...
