Missing edges in an assembly drawing

I frequently see drawings where edges of components disappear completely leaving gaps in detail in the 2D view. This appears to be because there are two components interfering with each other.

Is there a way to ensure that these edges remain visible even if there's interference? Sometimes this is unavoidable with press fits, etc.

As far as I know, there is no way to cure this. The only workaround I
can suggest is to create 3D curves in the assembly at the intersecting
faces of the parts. Then the curves can be shown on the drawing. This
may clean up the drawing some, but is far from perfect.

Another fix is to create a mini chamfer and that will show up as an edge.
No perfect but it overcomes a not perfect software.

Great question. This gets us all the time.

Hi Andrew,
One thing I have done with press fit parts is to use flexibility. In the assembly make the hole flexible and change its diameter to match the pin. This doesn't work well if you are not on WF5 and you use shown balloons and you use repeat regions on your drawings. There's a known bug with not being able to fix index on flexible parts and same parts not grouping together.
