Modelling an company logo into ventilation slots

Hello,

I am just working on a internal company projects where we have a sheet metal body with ventilation slots. Those slots I made with the "filling"-function. The lower left rectangle is the base which was filled over an area which I sketched, let´s say a filling frame.

Now I wanted to insert an area in the middle of those ventilations slots where I can laser the companys logo into but I am not sure, when I use this model, if the process is done correctly...see attached - I can still see the slots lined up and able to choose but the insert rectangle has the same thickness like the sheet metal around it...

Is there any solution which is suitable for this case?!

Or do I have to make 4 filling areas (1upper, 1 lower, 1left and 1right of the inner rectangular)? - I hope not...

Thanks in advance.

If you are using the pattern fill function, you can sketch an internal rectangle in your fill sketch.
