If you are opening a SW part in it's native format and you want the feature tree to be visible in Creo, that is not available as part of core Creo software. It is a "dumb" import of geometry. Your options to modify this SW geometry is to use flexible modeling, or Creo model features to modify the geometry. In some cases you can also use Import Data Doctor to modify geometry.
The intent behind reading in native files from other CAD formats is to support designing around them with Creo not to convert the file format to the equivalent Creo features. I have seen third party translators that work on some parts pretty well for prismatic parts but not for stylized or organic geometry.
