What is the problem?
Create the section view and do an angular pull with remove material.

Thanks for the answer.

how can I insert oring slot around the part shows on the picture.I tried the steps you listed but didn't work for me.CYL1.JPG

You have to put the workplane into the center of the part.

Instead of this, you could put a workplane at one plane face, then move it to the o-ring position and then remove the material by vertical pull.

Use the "WP on axis" command to create a workplane with the U-axis coincident with the axis of your cylinder. Then draw a profile on the workplane for the O-ring groove. Use Pull Angular to remove the material, specifying either the cylinder or the WP U-axis as the axis of rotation. (You don't need to enter an angle-it will default to 360 degrees even though the field is yellow, which normally indicates that you need to fill in a value.)
