On a drawing sometimes the Section arrows have just gone crazy.

I have noticed when working on a drawing sometimes the Section arrows have just gone crazy and have exploded to outrageous positions. This only occurs to some of them, Can anybody please let us know why and what can be done to fix this?

I associate this with a change in the model extents.

The section arrows are located in relation to the view extents, and the view extents are driven by default by the model extents. A new feature or datum has caused the model extents to increase. Either eliminate this cause or redefine the views as Partial. If the views are Partial, their extents remain constant with the sketched boundary.

You can test this by creating a datum point very far from the geometry of the model and seeing the effect on the views. Delete the point and the views will return to their former appearance.
