Yes these orange coloured dimensions are unusual looking but another reply
shows you that they are a new WF5 category called Locked. This gives them
extra properties compared to Strong which was the highest level before (see
below).
There are a couple of config settings to make dimensions automatically
Locked and we experimented with these at the start of WF5 but decided not
to go with them for our use. It can be that an individual user could add
this config option.
*sketcher_dimension_autolock* (automatically locks strong dimensions) and *
sketcher_lock_modified_dims* (yes/no)

About Locked and Unlocked Dimensions
You can lock dimensions in Sketcher. Locking of dimensions allows you to
avoid modifications made to the sections outside the Sketcher mode by
accidentally dragging a vertex or an entity. The locked state of the
dimension is maintained when you quit or re-enter the Sketcher mode.
You can also set Sketcher to lock all user-defined dimensions automatically
by setting the value of the sketcher_dimension_autolock configuration
option to yes. Alternatively, click Sketch ▶ Options and select the Lock
User Defined Dimensions option on the Miscellaneous tabbed page of the
Sketcher Preferences dialog box.
After you set this option, all dimensions that you subsequently create or
modify are locked. Dimensions created before you set automatic locking
maintain their status.
Note
The locked state of a dimension is not retained if the dimension is
referenced in a relation, as the relation takes priority over the locked
status of the dimension.
To unlock a selected dimension, click Edit ▶ Toggle Lock or right-click and
choose Unlock on the shortcut menu.
Locked dimensions appear in orange. You can set the color for locked
dimensions by clicking View ▶ Display Settings ▶ System Colors and
selecting the required color on the Sketcher tabbed page.
