Gentlemen,
We are considering upgrading our PDMLink 9.1 to 10.1 ourselves. What insights can you share from your experiences in doing this upgrade?
Any and all information is helpful. Do it yourselves --Don't do it yourselves, anything!
Some information for you:
Current PDMLink is 9.1 M060 and Wildfire 5.0 (moving to CREO 2.0 probably this summer).
We are only managing our MCAD and ECAD data and a handful of Word files at this time.
We are not using workflows but do have release states and several different Products and a library.
We do not use WT parts.
We are not doing ECN's with PDMLink right now.
We have Work Group managers for ECAD (Mentor Graphics) and MCAD (SolidWorks and Inventor files)
We are running on a Windows 2008 Dell server and Oracle 11.1.0.7.0
Other questions I can pass through our IT guys.
Thanks,
John M. Scranton
