Patterns & Groups ... Groups and Patterns

PTC has gotten much better at working with groups, and also much better at working with patterns. So why can't they play nice together? We can delete or suppress members inside of a group without affected the rest of the group, we can omit instances of a pattern without redefining the pattern, pattern other patterns, reference pattern to feature and component references bilaterally, etc.

But when it comes to deleting/suppressing/adding/retracting members in a patterned group, everything dies. One must delete the pattern, rework the group (without any suppressed components/features in the group) and than repattern. Any children of the patterned group will then fail.

It would be nice if we could suppress/delete/retract components in a patterned group out of the group (affecting all the patterned members).

Along with that, I would mention the "mirror" command. The contents of
which are invariably lost when you've mirrored a pattern that you now
want to change.
