Yesterday, Oct 28th, PTC announced Creo, our new design software strategy. Creo will be released in mid-to-late next year, 2011. The beta will be out in the Spring.
Since the core of Creo is Pro/ENGINEER, CoCreate and ProductView, these products have been renamed... Pro/E becomes Creo Elements/Pro, CoCreate becomes Creo Elements/Direct and ProductView becomes Creo Elements/View. The Elements part of the name simply refers to the fact that these products that you are using today are part of a bigger strategy, foundational elements of a new technology, that we expect will solve a lot of challenges that CAD users across the spectrum deal with every day. There is a lot more information about the renaming here but keep watching this space and we will keep you all updated.
