ProE WF3 M250 on Windows7 x64

Hello,

I have installed ProE WF3 M250 on a Windows7 x64 bit laptop with an Intralink 3.4 M040 client.

When launching ProE from Intralink, it does work perfectly but when trying to launch ProE directly and independantly from Intralink, I get an error message :

"Windows cannot find <Proe Load Point>\i486_nt\nms\nmsd.exe"

It is quite normal as it a 64bit version of ProE, the nmsd.exe application is located here : <installation folder>\x86e_win64\nms\nmsd.exe

What can I do ?

Tony,

Your installation is incorrect as it is looking for the x86 version of nmsd.exe instead of the x64 version. Have you modified the launch files yourself to make this work in Windows 7 x64? Try re-installing the x64 version of Pro/E and check the option to add/modify the command files.

Anthony,

your installation of ProE WF3 M250 is 32-bit. Intralink is also 32-bit.

I think you have to modify psf file in PROE\bin directory and replace every occurence of %PRO_MACHINE_TYPE% with i486_nt
