Problems transferring Creo MBD dimension to a CMM

Does anyone transfer Step files created using AP242 to a CMM?

Having issues with getting the dimensions to transfer.  GD&T will transfer as long as they are not attached to a dimension.

We are using Creo 9.0.8.0.  Dimensions have had Annotation Referenced added.

Transfer is to a Mitutoyo MiCat software.  We have transferred both Step and native Creo file with the same outcome.  Not sure if it is a Creo or MiCat software issue.

Step is not a great format for PMI. There are issues with GD&T being dropped. The Step governing body is working on this but this is part of the reason QIF was born. Unfortunately QIF has not been quickly adopted by the software vendors.

The issue you are describing is part of the reason why more companies are not doing MBD yet. We did another test run this year with different vendors than yours and we had similar issues.

Thank you. We are a bit stuck at this point so we will just kick back and relax until it improves.
