Quilts and Solidifying

Hello All,

I have an enclosed volume (at least I think I do) after merging all of my quilts. I need to solidify this component and it will not allow me to do so. Any thoughts? See attached.

Thank you!

Best,

DC

Hi,

I added DTM12 and 3 other features. These features enable you to find problematic location (only).

  • distance 117 assigned to DTM12 ... model can be solidified
  • distance 118 assigned to DTM12 ... model cannot be solidified

You can also change the colors for the Quilt and Manufacturing Volume options and view the model in wireframe. A completely merge surface will be the color of Manufacturing Volume. If there are any areas that have the Quilt color on the edges this is where you have gaps, holes, or areas where the surfaces didn't merge. The surface isn't completely closed so you can't solidify it. You will find a small area on your model in the region close to were the models mirror id 1419 feature is located.
