Regenerate automatic copy geometry

Hello everyone,
I would like to understand in Creo parametric how the .prt files that contain a copy geometry feature that has another reference .prt are updated.
Why doesn't the son update when I open it, even if automatic regeneration is set?
I always have to do it manually with CTRL + G or regenerate (I attach an image of the two objects opened from a clean session - first father then son)

The version used is Creo 8.0.7.0
I also tried with 10.0.3.0 where I saw these two new entries (regen_data_sharing_ref_models e retrieve_data_sharing_ref_parts) but even adding them with a value of yes did not change the result.

Matteo.

The regeneration is not automatic, what is automated is a check by Creo to determine if the shared geometry feature needs to be regenerated. To complete this check the father model must be in session along with the child models. You would always be required to initiate the regeneration of the models needing it.

Models automatically regenerating without user interaction is not desirable generally. For instance, if you are working on a model that takes 15 min to regenerate then you do not want the model to regen automatically without your permission.
