Hello,
We have several hardware spread across different sub-assemblies within a top-level assembly. When we try to replace a hardware (Patterned) with another hardware, Creo Crashes.
Steps followed:
1. Chose the part to be replaced within the sub-assembly
2. The pop-up appears. Unrelated component option chosen
3. Replacement component chosen from within the working directly
4. After hit "Okay", we click on "Placement" that turns out to be empty and the crash happens right there
Any pointers to this is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ananth
Hi,
please report the problem to PTC Support.
I assume the hardware does not come from the same family table or you would not have selected replace by unrelated component. Is the edit ref table selectable or is this greyed out? If you can select this you must select the corresponding references from the new part to the old part.
