Dear all!
I would like to complete a gear contact analysis using simulate.
I'm rotating the rotorshaft to the plastic gear.
When selecting linear elastic material for the plastic, the simulation runs well, brings reasonable outcome.
The gap between the two parts is closed during analysis.
But when I choose elasto-plastic material behavior for the plastic, the simulation brings unrealistic results.
The displacement is much lower (around half) compared to elastic analysis.
Consequently, the occurring stresses also much lower.
What could cause this huge difference between the two analysis type?
All the other inputs are the same. I'm using single-pass for convergence as only this is available for plasticity.
Thank you in advance for the support!
