SUMMARY: Leader in a symbol?

SUMMARY: Leader in a symbol?

I had a few responses - putting the leader in the symbol, creating
multiple arrows and turning them on and off and using @O. None of these
work for my particular application.

Richard Black was closest - ultimately I solved it myself - I created a
incredibly small line on a drawing (to small to see) and then associated
my double arrow and leader to that entity. I then made a draft group of
everything. In this fashion I can rotate my arrows any deg I want and
the leader and text remains the same.

The only draw back of this is it is not a symbol so I can't throw it
into a pallet or syb library.

Glad you found a solution.

However can someone expound on the concept of putting the leader in the
symbol, creating multiple arrows and turning them on and off and using
@O

To clarify the options where:

1. When creating the symbol, draw a line in the symbol that is your
"leader". Pro/E doesn't let you put actual leaders in symbols.

2. If you edit the coordinate arrow symbol in the default Pro/E pallet
you can see an example of turning things on and off in a symbol.

3. When you replace @D with @O into a created dimension, you can
Override the dimension value with any text that you include after the
@O.

Hello pro/users,

Is there a technique which would allow pro/cables to be transformed into
pro/pipes?

One way is to translate the pro/cable assembly to STP or IGES but that
takes many steps which ultimately renders a dumbed-down model.

Create the arrows as a symbol. After you place the symbol on the drawing, create a leader note for the text using a dot as the arrowhead.

This might work better.
