Hi Folks, Just goes to show I should have read the rest of the exploder email on this.
To summarise.
- From Neal eDrawings 10.1.0.144 works with WF5 M010 (and presuamably later) BUT - There is a reply from Jeff saying - We use WF5 M040 and eDrawings 2010 (10.1.0.144), and there is definitely a problem. With previous versions of Wildfire and eDrawings, we had a mapkey that changed our Pro/E drawing files to a black-on-white color scheme. This gave us very easy to read eDrawings files that resembled paper drawings. With the later versions, however, if we try to create black-on-white eDrawings files, we get "white or light gray geometry and white dimensions on a white background" eDrawing files. This happens regardless of the DXF export options and color schemes we've tried in Pro/E. There may be a combination of color settings and DXF export options that will give us what we want, but we haven't found it yet. We finally decided to use the default Pro/E color schemes for our eDrawings drawing files until a fix is released. The eDrawings part and assembly files work fine. In a nutshell, if you don't want black-on-white eDrawings files, it works fine. - From Jean-Fredric saying - 10.2.0.122 is not working with WF5 M040 - And from Michael saying 3D pdf that can be put out from WF4 and up makes EDrawings obsolete. Will ahve to try this.
So for us it looks like we can use eDrawings for parts and assemblies which is all we use it for.
