SUMMARY "highlighted snap lines can not be regenerated"
Thanks to all who replied. I tried unhiding all views (there were none hidden). It's a configured model, so I ran through all the options, turning them on & off. No luck.
Finally, I don't know why I didn't' think of this earlier, I changed the selection filter to Snap Lines, zoomed waaaaaaaaay out, and did a region select. Nothing. Nada. Guess I'll just ignore it.

I get this sometimes too. One of the drawings has no snap lines & I don't think it ever did have snap lines. Like you, I zoom Waaayyy out & turned the smart filter to snap lines & tried to window select & delete. Made no difference. I just ignore the message.
