Show an assembly with components in different position

i have a question: is it possible to add a relation in an assembly that rules different positions of a component?

Typically this is manages in family tables.  Powerful stuff!  ..if not sometimes frustrating.

Also consider flexible assemblies where a part/subasm can be modified at the next level assembly, such as post machining results.
