Shown Weld Symbols on Drawing Not Plotting Correctly

Wildfire 4.0 M140 on both Windows and UNIX workstations.

Weld symbols that are created in the assembly and shown on the drawing look
as they should
on the drawing file.

But when the are plotted, on paper they look very wrong:

A ticket was opened with PTC and as usual they are clueless.

Short of erasing all the model weld symbols and inserting drawing symbols,
would anyone have
any ideas on how to fix this?

And to make it more fun, this happens on some drawings and not others.

I'm sure, I've seen this somewhere, but now I just can get it to work.
So I have a sketch which I'm projecting it to a curved surface.
Then I want to create o small protrusion on that surface using this
projection.
Something like embossing the part# on a plastic part.
What steps am I missing?
