Hello,
I have performed some calculations on an assembly containing some contacts.
Firstly, I run the single-pass adative static analysis and it completes without any problem.
Secondly, I performed the multi-pass adaptive analysis on the same identical input model, with no modifications with respect to the single-pass one, but in the end it aborts with fatal error:
anyone could explain what is it due to? maybe for convergence related reasons?
this is the error message in the diagnostic window if ti can be of some use.
thanks
bye
Can you post the *.rpt files for both analyses here please?
Hi Patrick,
here attached are the two .rpt files:
- prove_tubo.rpt --> Single-pass adaptive analysis
- prove_tubo_multipass.rpt --> Multi-pass adaptive analysis
many thanks
bye bye
From the multipass log:
The design study terminated abnormally.
An engine disk write error has occurred, probably due to
insufficient disk space or directory/file permissions.
So I think that answers your question.
By the way, the single pass log shows warnings about very high stress and possible singularities, so be careful when interpreting results!
Hi Patrick,
I tried to repeat the analysis and indeed the problem was the memory space (now I came back using the previous disk which had much space).
(And as Steven wrote I deduce the Multipass occupies more space).
Concerning the warning, yes, as usual those messages are always present, the fact is that with the basic license is almost impossible to set up very precisely and realistically the input model so as to make them disappear...
bye bye
The important thing is it runs now
Maybe PTC should think about passing on more warnings and errors from the .rpt file to the gui.
Yes but it would not be useful in my opinion, the error messages are already too many and you already know they say the same thing -> it's worth keeping them in mind instead.
bye bye
