Surface Merge Visibility

WF4, M080

Is there any way to make the surface merge preview more obvious?  The pale orange-ish yellow vs. pale red-ish yellow is ridiculous.  I flip arrows and squint at the screen and still can't tell what I'm going to get.

I've tried wireframe, shaded, hidden line and I still can't see it.  In some cases, simpler geometry, it's easy, but for what I'm doing now, the geometry is such that I can't tell what it's doing and it's frankly giving me a head ache.

Whoever at PTC decided that every color in the interface ought to be a mid tone should have to come stare at what I've been staring at for a couple of hours.

You can change the color scheme back to the pre-wildfire scheme under
View --> system colors --> geometry--> quilt edge
