Thumbnails and PDF

I have my cad worked configured to generate PDF files for PV. In doing so, thumbnails are no longer being created for display on the details page in WC or insearch lists.

I have created a recipe file that outputs HPGL and specified this as the thumbnail recipe from the advanced major tab; system sub tab. This does not work. The thumbnail is not generated.

2 questions

Is this the correct use of the thumbnail recipe option?

Is it possible to genrate PDF drawings and have athumbnail?

Drawings do not get thumbnails, regardless of the output format.

On my system (9.1 M040) Pro/Engineer drawings will get thumbnails. Thumbnails
for Pro/Engineer drawings are only supported if the cadworker is running on
Solaris x64, HP-UX PA-RISC, or Windows. If the cadworker is running on Solaris
sparc, then thumbnails are not generated for drawings.

I was just informed that that was an addition to 9.1 from 9.0.

Some more clarification, drawing only get thumbnail in 9.1 if output is HPGL, not for PDF.
