Trying to edit a UDF with family table. Can't select drill tip angle

Hi Guys.

We have about 20 plus years of UDFs with family tables in them for all of our drilled water line holes, and drilled features.

They were all made originally with a 59 degree drill tip angle. I want to change to 70 degree (140 total) on these...but not have to redo 20 plus years of UDFs and family tables.

I added in the config.pro this line:

drilled_hole_tip_angle 140

This works great when using the hole creation feature with in Creo 7 (making new)

But i want to use my udfs with family tables....that has a lot of standardized depths, and sizes for certain fittings and such already defined.

I cannot seem to modify the udf, and add in drill tip angle into my family table.

Anyone care to take a quick look at this?

attached is one of the many UDFs i want to modify.

Jay

You only posted the .gph file and not the part(s) used to define the UDF. I do not think that Creo will open a .gph without some other files associated with it. Inclusion of the angle dimension in the UDF depends on how it was originally created.

I was just putting them on a basic square block. Then model tab/user defined feature. (we have map keys set up to make a point first on the included jiffy example.)

I'm not sure these old parts still exist that were used to make these udf's.

Depending on whether the UDFs were created as standalone or subordinate is relevant. Does you company have a UDF library? In order to modify the UDF you will need access to the source files that define the UDF not just the .gph file. You will need to investigate how they were created originally.

When I place the UDF defined from your .gph file the source model option is greyed out. The source model is where you would want to change the drill angle. I am not sure you are going to be able to modify this without the source file. You may have to recreate the UDFs to get what you want.
