U Joints with Pin definition

U Joints with Pin definition

I have a lower platform mount, cross piece, leg mount, leg assembly, upper leg mount, upper cross piece, upper platform mount.

I'm creating a Stewart Platform using u joints.

I'm having trouble with having assembling the parts in a fashion to where there is only rotaion allowed. I can assemble the bottom mount to the cross using the PIN definition and the same with leg mount as well. When I move to the top of the leg I can use the PIN definition for the upper mount to the cross piece, but when I try to join the upper platform mount to the cross piece, it will not fully constrain and it will only constrain if i use the cylinder and allow it to translate a little bit. I need to be fixeed to ratational only.

Is there another setting that will allow for rotation on all four constraints?

It cannot translate for when it is imported into matlab, it will break at the joints where a tollerance is located.

Can you post pic of cross piece and upper mount. i see no problem making this mechanism with pin connections(not counting cylinder ones for extending leg parts).
