How to do ultrasonic welding for two plastic parts?

Creo Parametric functionality does not include any functions specific to design for ultrasonic welding. For plastic parts you will need to decide what type of weld joint you will use and then create the geometry on the two models to be included in the mold design so that they may be welded.
You will typically need to create geometry for an energy director that serves to melt the plastic when the horn of the welder contacts the assembly to achieve the weld. You should also create geometry that allows for the melt of the weld to migrate to a location that is acceptable for your design.
