Unbending sheet metal part with components attached, in an assembly

I have an assembly with a sheet metal part and several EE components attached in an assembly. I need to systematically unbend the multiple bends in the sheet metal part within the assembly and have the connectors track with each unbend. Using multiple sheet metal parts in different configurations is not an option. The views need to come from the original sheet metal part in different unbend states.  CREO 2.0

Any suggestions?

This should work if all of the references that locate the components move along with the bend/unbend operations.  So the components can't reference any global datums.  The components can reference the edges of the local flat area where they are assembled.  Or you can create datums (planes or coordinate systems) that only use local references and are in turn referenced by the components.

In assembly mode using simplified reps of the piece part with several bend steps, the part constraints are local, not global.  The parts do not follow the movement of the surfaces.  They stay in the master rep location.

Hi,

see attached example created in CR2 M070.
