Using the inside of a surface as a reference.

Hello all,

Quick question. I have a cylinder like object with an ergo grip design to it. I am wanting to create internally a mounting extrude. How do I use the internal surface as a reference to draw my extrude against? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

If I am reading this right, I might suggest offset. However, you can also extrude up to surface.
