VPN settings general - at the begining

Hi,

I need to know all settings for sucessfull set for use a Creo license via VPN, in diferrent networks. My license server in my company is available from network (if i need), I have public ip adress, safety set for this time, but nor problem to allow what i need.

Please, I need summary and correct information, ideal step by step, what I set all to use creo license in other network, for my external colleagues,...atc.

Hi,

solution of your problem is probably related to VPN software you are using. In the past IT of our customer did following steps.

  • in FLEXnet installation in license.dat file they added port=7789 at the end of DAEMON line and restarted FLEXnet service
  • in VPN configuration they enabled communication via TCP ports 7788, 7789
  • in Creo installation in parametric.psf file they set ENV=PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=7788@IP_address_of_license_server

Suggestion: Ask Slovak PTC VAR for support.

Thank you Martin, it works. Tested with Creo 4.0 F000 and Flexera V11.
