Warp: symetrical Stretch

Does anyone know how to do this on WF5? For example stretch a sphere in X only while maintaining symetry (ie. the centre point).

At the moment my workaround will be to start new part, warp in one direction, add a new CSYS at the new, offset centre; and merge this geometry into my model. That, or use the offset value for a Paste Special > Translate. It seems like these steps shouldn't be necessary though.

Thanks
