Watermarks on Drawings

Hello,

I have a few questions about watermarking of drawings.

* Does anyone put watermarks on their mechanical drawings?
* If so, what purpose do you use watermarks for?
* Do you apply the watermark in Pro/E or at some other point in
the process (such as on a pdf of the drawing)
* Does anyone know if watermarking a mechanical drawing is
permitted per ASME standards? I can't seem to find any info in the ASME
standards that discusses the topic.

Any information would be appreciated.

Typically the easiest way to do this is with ProductView/Windchill so you might try the "solutions" list as well.


Windchill has the ability, upon publish to ProductView, to apply a watermark to the "viewable" in ProductView. You can set up to show just for View, just for Print, or both.


Not sure about ASME standards per se, but I know a LOT of customers apply watermarks so it's definitely a very common practice.

Can someone please help. I can not get the watermaking values in the .ini file to read the values from PDMLink.

Below are two different watermarking parameters that I have set in the .ini file.

Any help is appreciated.
