As stated above we have an older computer in our office, currently when we open Creo 4.0 on that computer we get an error while opening stating efx failed to load. Not sure what this affects but is there a remedy for this? Thank you in advance.
Nathan,
This is documented issue for M010 (Ref: CS260229) There is currently SPR 6604568 filed, with a fix in Creo Parametric 4.0 M020
Hope this helps...
Just saw this error yesterday and looked it up on PTC support page today. I'm a bit concerned what letting this obvious error be released says for PTC's Quality Control for Creo 4.
Hi,
in my clean CR4 M010 installation Advanced Framework works well.

Here's a link to the document & SPR:

https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/spr.jsp?n=6604568
BTW, at this time both say "evaluating" for a fix for Creo 4 & 5, nothing yet about a fix in M020.
EDIT: It does say it's resolved in M020. THere are two "resolution" areas, the one I normally look to still says evaluating.
