broken 3D views on drawings?

We make many complex assemblies that have a high Length / Diameter ratio, and extensively use broken orthogonal views on drawings.

Question: Is it possible somehow to create broken 3D views?

I normally get fancy about here by doing family table cuts and merging of views.  It is only on rare occasions I would go this far.  But the assembly cut is often a sinusoidal wave on a sweep.

Nice Antonius, Your really know how to add a touch of flair!!!

You can make 'a broken 3d view', in that you can have a broken view, and the orientation can be isometric/trimetric/similar.  However,

the direction of alignment is always horizontal or vertical.  For something resembling 'a broken view of an isometrically-oriented model, where the direction of alignment is along a diagonal', your best bet is a pair of partial views.

Also look into the "Copy and Align" type of a detail view.
