If it is a driven dimension (meaning it comes from the modeling) then you simply double click the geometry that contains the dimension, select the dimension and then change the decimal places as shown below.

If you use the show model annotations button then you can make this same dimension (with the same number of decimal places) show up on the drawing. If you want a different number of decimal places to show in the drawing then you need to create a created dimension. You can do this either in the model or in the drawing. This will have its own tolerance control that can be set independent of the driving model dimension.

HI THANKS FOR REPLY

You didn’t get what I mean

I need to set decimal places 2 for 3d modeling

and 1 for 2d drawings at the same time.

You can not have a shown dimension that has 2 decimal places in the model and then the same shown dimension have 1 decimal place in the drawing. The software doesn't allow it.

Maybe I am reading your question wrong if so then you need to provide more clarity. Otherwise as I suggested originally, the only other way to do this is to make another dimension or parameter which you can then use on the drawing (with a different tolerance).

Dear Chris

Thanks for reply

I know the same setting reflecting in 3d & 2d creo,

But my requirement is different, I need 2 decimal places in 3d and 1 decimal places in 2d drawing. How can I do

Default decimal places is controlled by the config file.  Config default_dec_places controls the number of decimal places for newly created dimensions.

I don't believe there is a way to set the default number of decimal places between 3D and 2D independently with one configuration..  You can only change the config setting between working in 3D and 2D.  A mapkey might be able to speed up the process when changing between working in 3D and 2D.

There is always more to learn in Creo.

A shown dimension in a drawing is the SAME dimension from the model. It can't be shown differently because it is the same.

You can create a dimension in the drawing and then set the created dimension to be the number of decimal places you need.

Use CREATED dims at the drawing level, then you can pick whatever number decimal places you want.  The created dim on the dwg will not drive the model, but oh well.

EDIT:  Sorry, Chris beat me to it, didn't see his post until AFTER I posted.
