inline piping components do not intersect with pipelines (schematics)

Hi everyone,

I have a problem in a P&ID diagram in Creo Schematics. When I sometimes select an inline-component from the catalog explorer is does not intersect with the lines already drawn in my P&ID.

I assume it is a shortkey or something small which causes this.

Can you help me out?

greetings, Koen

I assume you mean that you are trying to place a component into an existing fiber and it will not allow you.

If this is the case then you need to check the following:

  1. The ports of the component are in opposite directions
  2. The ports of the component align with the fiber
  3. The width of the component plus the fiber end details is not longer than the fiber in which you are inligning into.

Point 3 is the one that catches the most people out

thanks

Jim
