jpeg import

Hi everyone

Probably a simple solution to this need. I have not had to do this until now. I need to import a jpeg onto a surface and cannot figure out the menu pics in WF4.

TIA

You need the ISDX module for this. Using WF 3.0 (I do not have WF 4.0), first select the Style icon and then select Styling --> Trace Sketch (see help menu for more information). Images (JPEG, PNG, etc) can then be open into a view corresponding to a specific Datum plane (front, right, and top).

If you do not have the ISDX module, the other option is to use the decal tool (http://www.mcadcentral.com/proe/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=37234&KW=decal) and place the decal on a flat surface before tracing over it. If you want to transfer a logo to a part surface using a decal or bump map, I discuss this in the following link: http://www.appianwaytech.com/blog/2010/02/26/tips-and-tricks/94
