locked parameter: source copy or creo parametric

Hello, 

I am on creo parametric 7.0.4.0.

I am trying to change the material of a part that has a locked parameter. 

Here's the error message I get: "Can not change the assignment of a material of PRIMARY_BODY in V004932_GEAR_WORM_DX.PRT, since it is locked. "

I can find the locked parameter by right clicking on the body and selecting "Parameters", which is different than Tools-> Parameters. 

I have already verified that the copy geometry is not pulling in a material. (unchecked the box for that)

I have tried to add: allow_create_pdm_param yes  but It cannot be added to my config.pro.

I suspect the parameter is locked because the copy geometry references an "import feature". The locked parameters have sources of "copy" and "creo parametric" and cannot be unlocked by getting into a drop down menu by clicking.  

I am using Windchill, but because the source isn't windchill, I don't suspect that's the issue. 

I have attached a picture showing the locked parameter and a zip file of the part and all references.

Hi @KS_3519872,

You've done the primary troubleshooting from this according to the knowledgebase and the article that matches the message, CS338204.

Even after deleting all features and bodies from the model, the material could still not be changed, so the lock still remains.

I'd recommend opening a case with support for this and any other models that display this behavior, as it is likely that a data fix can be applied.
