move balloons to new repeat region, replace old bom with new witout redoing balloons

i need to replace the bom on a lot of drawings

i found removing the old bom and then placing the new one to be quick but this removes the balloons.

is there a way to transfer the balloons to the new repeat region, or replace the old repeat region with the new one without losing the balloons?

the only way of saving the balloons i can think of is to make a mapkey rebuild the old repeat region to become the new one.

The balloons are associated to the existing table. You can't "transfer" them to a different table.

Your best bet is to rebuild the existing table.
