For analysis in ANSYS I created simulation surface region on one part of the assembly. It is visible on a standalone part, but when I put that part in an assembly, the surface region vanishes - it gets merged with surrounding surfaces. What do I do to prevent that from happening? I need to output the assembly as a STEP file to be read into ANSYS. Separate parts won't do, as I can't assemble them in ANSYS.
