Hi,
I have a small question is there any possible way to bring in a sketch into a drawing file in CREO 2.0?
that is copy the sketch and paste it in a drawing file.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yep, that worked... Make the sketch, open a drawing and show a view with that sketch, turn off the format and export the drawing to DXF. Now open the DXF as a drawing and you should see your sketch.
Now go the drawing you want the sketch in and use the Insert/Copy from other drawing. Select the drawing in the In-Session list. Select your drafting curves and you will be prompted for the From/To translation from the other drawing to the current drawing.
One would think this is very simple... but Noooooo!
Save the sketch, open a new part, create a sketch, and click file system to import the saved sketch.
Now go back to your drawing and add the new model to your drawing and create a view. Whallah! sketch curves are on the drawing.
There's got to be an easier way, however. For some reason, I couldn't create a DXF or DWG file, but I suspect that would be easier. Then you could open those as a drawing and import that data into the drawing by using Insert/Copy from Other Drawing
