transfer note from drawing to drawing

Gentlemen, your help please:

1) I know I can transfer a note from one drawing to another using "Copy" and "Paste". Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Why doesn't it work all the time?

2) Transferring a table with information falls under the same category. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Why don't these work all the time?

Thanks

cruzrjo

As for tables, if the table has relations that are built into the table, the relations from one drawing may not be the same as another so they will have to be adjusted. This is one reason that I could see the table failing.

I guess the same could be said for notes. If the initial notes are built with parameters reference within the note, if those parameters on not in the model of the new drawing or if they are pointing to a specific model number and its parameters, that could make it fail sometime.

For both the table and the notes, if it is just standard text, they should copy and paste just fine.

I hope this helps. Dale

Save the table and save the note and insert them as files. Not pretty for individual notes but it should be much more reliable. Works better if the drawing notes is one big text block.

I think you are running into problems with special characters. I know the @[-@] is causing some real fits with Creo. An SPR has been filed.
