Hello everyone, i'm very new to Mechanica and need a little help. I'm
trying to understand the SI units.
Basically if i was applying a point load to the end of the cant beam for
arguement sake.
Do i apply a load of 1000kg or 10000N. The answers i have been getting
just seem rubbish way to low
The units when you first go into Mechanica say the units are. mm.kg sec^2
TIA Sinjin

Regards, Brent DrysdaleI totally endorse Brent's approach. Only thing you
do need to watch for with mmNS system is that mass comes out as tonnes.
It's not at all a problem - but can seem a bit weird the first few times you
use it.
