A constant-speed option for animations would put Illustrate further ahead of the competition.
Animations can easily be too fast or slow, so lots of rework is usually required to adjust time-frames. When you have the "Record Content" button pressed, any translation of an item will be recorded over the selected time frame. Speed = Distance Moved / Time Frame, and the distance moved is always different when you are animating. It would be a great feature if there was an input box for Preset Speed Of Movement, with a check-box to activate. This would override the selected time frame carets -- and determine the length of the animation track by
Time Frame = Distance Moved / Preset Speed
Blue = user input
Red = calculated by Illustrate
This would make the animation process smoother and more professional, and allow for easier Standardization when our counterpart overseas produces PVI files for us with Illustrate. @agarland- comments?
