Hello everyone,
Unfortunately I have lost my settings. So far I have been able to restore more or less all of them.
What is still missing is the antialiasing when exporting 2D views with 300dpi and *.bmp.
I have now spent 3 hours looking for the right setting....without success.
Then I saw that there are also ‘Settings’ under ‘Publish’.
Here I edited the entry ‘Creo 2D’ under ‘Publish/’2D images’ and set “Antialiasing” --> “High”.
Unfortunately, this does not work.
Questions:
- How do I set antialiasing when exporting 2D illustrations?
- Why are there separate settings ‘Options’ and ‘Publish/Settings’?
- Why is the needed setting not under ‘Options/Global’, but only under ‘Options/Illustration’?
- And why in God's name does a trained engineer have to spend 3 hours searching for the right setting?
Best regards
Ramon

Hello Adrian,
It seems, that there was a big mistake in understanding and we've been talking past each other.
So, I found out, that there is a big difference between "Publishing" and "Save Figure as / Save as Image file".
And there are also different places for the settings. And I made the settings in the "publisher options"....by accident and of course without result.
To change the antialiasing setting for exported bmp-images, the settings are located in the regular "Options" here:
Unfortunatly it took me several ours to find out. But now I have it 🙂
Please excuse the inconvenience.
P.S.: I don't know why, but it seems that these settings can not be given in the Admin-Tool. That's also the reason why I've been looking for it for so long.
Best regards,
Ramon

Hi Ramon,
The anti-aliasing option was added to the publish options for raster output in the 11.1 release of Creo Illustrate.
This was done to cover the server-side publishing scenario's when working in a Windchill environment.
The Global setting covers the export scenario's (Save figure as) and this has been available for much longer.
So depending on whether you are publishing or exporting will determine where you need to set the option.
Safest way is to set it to high in both places.
If this still doesn't get the results you are expecting I would suggest contacting tech support and logging a case as we would need to look at the file to see if there are any issues.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ramon,
Good to hear you have eventually found out how to get the result you want.
I do take your point on how difficult it was to work out how to get this result when publishing and exporting.
This is something we will bear in mind along with your comment about not being able to set the anti-aliasing for export from the admin tool.
We appreciate the feedback. 😊
