Is Creo View constantly popping up the 3D Connexion Properties window for you?
I put in a ticket for this and PTC tech support is investigating.
Here is the discussion on the 3D Connexion forum:

I'll post updates as information is available.
Solved! Go to Solution.
For anyone having this issue, 3D Connexion has provided some code that ignores Creo View's call to the properties window:
Hi all,
we have added a new field in the configuration file with 3DxWare 10.1.0. This should disable this behavior.
You can add this manually to yourapplication's configuration file in your %APPADATA% folder. Go to %APPDATA%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\CFG and edit the file for your application (e.g. ProE.xml). Add the line below in the section <AppInfo>
<AppInfo>
…
<IgnoreSiSetUiMode>true</IgnoreSiSetUiMode>
…
</AppInfo>

I tried it with creo view express and I don't have any problems. I also don't have any problems with Creo Parametric. I don't think I have Creo View installed, just express. What Creo build are you using and what driver version are you using?
We're using Creo View 2.0 and 3.0 in Express and MCAD versions.
It happens in both whenever you right-click on a component and select Open in new view.
3D Connexion version 10.0.22
Right clicked and opened in new view and nothing pops up for me.
Creo View Express 2.0 M040 build 15
Device: SpacePilot
Driver Version: 6.16.1
Consider yourself lucky
Yeah, I wish I could. Did you ever figure out a solution to the composite layups in Creo? Just curious.
Nope, we abandoned it and our composites engineer went back to using Catia
Interesting. We are looking into Fibersim but currently do everything by hand in Creo. I hear Catia is much better in these regards.
FiberSim has an interface with Catia and NX so users can work directly in the native tool. They've approached PTC about developing the same, but have gotten no interest. Here's the full discussion:
I got a response from PTC support:
"I have been asking around with colleagues on what you are seeing, and the answer I have received is unfortunately, the window popping up every time like it does is expected behavior and is working to specification. The issue was raised to the Director of R&D, and that was his answer."
I still find it odd that no pop-up happens on my installation...perhaps mine is broken the correct way? Or perhaps I'm running an older version of the driver before it became "expected [mis]behavior"
I still want to know how is writing these very user unfriendly behavior specifications:
...expected behavior and is working to specification
Maybe a real user should have signoff of these specifications, no?
It seems that programmer have to much say as to what is a solid user interface.
I can see it now...
Developer: We can do this if you allocate 187.75 man-hours in development...
With the reply...
Management: The specification and expected behavior shall be as the code currently performs.
Where we can only walk away with...
User: YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!
...as they pick up the phone to contact the nearest Dassalt Systems rep.
Sometimes, PTC is its own worst enemy.

Good information, thanks Domingo. Good to know that 3DConnexion is on the ball.
