Hello,
😁
I am trying to implement Creo Schematics and Parametric for my university's Formula SAE team.
Unfortunately I have issue loading the made .csv files back into Schematics.
Initially the Datatable csv was fine but now with the Membermap updated, it no longer uploads into Schematics.
Under the impression that the Type declared in the parameter of the wires I initially used was the issue, I tried to adjust the $$$datasettype$$$ value of the Datatable to different forms, referencing other wire types but this was not the issue still.
I've attached the two Excel files I've put together to this message In hopes someone might understand where issues are arising. As well, here is a link to my original post in case that might be beneficial.
I will be working on putting together a datatable set for the connectors (Mostly Deutsch) as to ensure that Creo will be set up far enough that auto-routing is possible even I don't manage to implement it for our Vehicle's CAD, this final semester of my Bachelor degree program.
I am looking forward to learning more about Creo's capabilities and rules. 😅
Thank you for your time.
Hello,
I am still having issue adding this new datatable to Schematics. I've tried to change the last column's $$datasettype$$ to CONNECTION!WIRE and CONNECTION!WIRE!WIRE_HARNESS to copy the currently used asset but this hasn't been successful either way. Is there something I'm missing?
Okay, so I managed to figure out the first part's issue, I cannot replace/add data tables while the file is open.
I attempted to load the datatable in a blank new unused file and instead it gave me error 6 at line for
and error 1 at line 2 of
I would really appreciate if someone could show me some way to import the datatable nevertheless into the main file I've been working on, but if that's not possible at all I'll have to picture how all these local assets should be managed. I suppose some formal Schematics training would be useful in better understanding how these files are used by the program so I can avoid faults when passing down the items I'm generating for this project.
As of now I can only expect that Schematics is used to diagram our wire harnesses and electrical connections since data tables creating a library of cabling to generate later in CAD I see as necessary for a full experience for fellow team members.
Hi @Angel_Hearted,
